Akshay Kumar many times in many of his interviews with different magazines has mentioned that he is a die hard Sridevi fan since he was back in Bangkok. In this video he talks about her and how he used to dream about her and have her poster hanged on the wall of his his room.

The recent clip that I added in the videos is Sridevi in Chaalbaaz 1989. The video consists of 4 scenes showing the difference and the way Sri has interpreted perfectly the two roles she played in the movie. The first scene is where Manju is drunk and shouting at Jaggu. In the second scene I really love Sridevi's humor and the way she laughs. The third scene is where the police find Anju in Jaggu's  (Rajnikanth) car and the last scene is amazing which takes place in the police station. These are among my favorite scenes in the movie. Enjoy watching.

Last month Surinder Kapoor was honored by the Screen Actors Guild for his contribution to the film industry. Both Anil Kapoor and Boney Kapoor were present. Sridevi was there too.  Surinder kapoor, Film Producer, reacting to the award, said, “I am very happy to receive this award. I am indebted to Yashji, Ompuriji and Screen for recognising my role in the film industry.” Boney Kapoor, son and producer, reacting to the award given to his father, said, “It is very happy moment. I hope this momen comes to every son, to witness one’s father receiving an award for his achievement.” Sridevi, speaking on her father-in-law receiving the award, said, “It is a great day for us. And we are all happy since he deserves the award.”

It is also rumored that Yash Chopra who was present too has again offered the movie he is been planning for to Sridevi. Looks like Yash Chopra is very keen in doing this movie with Sridevi and Amitabh Bachchan. I have added the video of the event under event section in Videos and will add soon pictures of the event.

Another event added to the gallery where Sridevi with family attended the premier of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. Added to the event few pictures of Sri when she attended her niece Maheshwari's wedding. In both event she looked stunning as ever. I have added a new icon in front of these two sections within the gallery for easier browsing.

Added to the gallery few pictures when Sridevi went for the launch of Sahara Music Studio. This was launched in February 2008 but thought to add them to the gallery.

Today added to the videos Yash Chopra in conversation with Karan Johar where he talks about the making of Lamhe, The casting, the shooting in London and talking about Sridevi when her father passed away during the shooting. Karan Johar also mentions that Lamhe was the film that made him decide to be a director and that Lamhe is very special to him. The video is in three parts. Hope you like it.

Yesterday Sridevi was seen in her niece Maheshwari's wedding. Maheshwari has acted in Telugu and Tamil movies and serials. For now please watch this video until more pictures of the event will be available.

As promised previously, added to video clips Preity Zinta's interview in Koffee with Karan where she chooses Sridevi as the best actress we have in India Today.

Another fan when asked in koffee with Karan about best actor in India today answered "Amitabh Bachchan" and best actress in India today said "Sridevi". Who is this fan?? Nobody else than Preity Zinta. We totally agree with her. I will try to post the video in the coming days.

Again rumors are there regarding Sridevi being in Mr. India 2. Nothing has been confirmed from the Kapoor family yet but the coming days will let us know if this is true or not>

Added in the video clip one of my most favorite Sridevi songs Main teri dushman from Nagina. I know the song is already there on Youtube but I have uploaded a real good quality version. Nagina is considered to be the best snake movie in the history of Bollywood and this particular song is the best snake dance we have ever came across.

Today is Sridevi's 45th birthday. many many returns of the day.

"While people are speculating about who will star in Yash Chopra's next directorial venture after Veer Zaara, here what Yash Chopra planned recently but failed to make it materialise.  He approached Amitabh Bachchan and Sridevi to play the lead actors in his next film. While Bachchan agreed, Sridevi took some time to make up her mind.
Our source says, "Yash and Sridevi's husband Boney Kapoor had a chat. Boney told Yash that he too was keen to re-launch his wife Sridevi in his own production and it would be better if Yash cast some other actress instead."
Apparently, Bachchan was quite kicked about doing a Yash Chopra film with Sridevi. Our source adds, "Amar Singh tried to convince Boney to let Sridevi act in Yash's film. Boney still did not relent."

So why didn't Yash cast someone else instead? Our source reveals, "Anybody else apart from Sridevi would have not suited the role. Besides, if Yash thinks of a subject, he has the actor and actress in mind. He put the project on the backburner when things did not work out with Sridevi."
When contacted, Boney confirmed that Yash had planned a film with Bachchan and Sridevi. When we probed further, Boney said, "Amar Singh and Amitji must have been keen. But it didn't happen due to some other reason, which I am not aware of."

Whenever we hear the word Sridevi we feel thousands of emotions. We really miss her. There is a big gap in Bollywood left after she stopped acting. Nobody touched her crown after she put it away. Millions are missing the queen. Here is what Filmfare Magazine editor Jitesh Pillai has written in his Last Word column in June 08. He speaks about the different avtars of Sri. Sri had a totally different avtar in the 70s then it was again different in the 80s and then again very different in the 90s and we all love her different avtars but in this article Jitesh seems to be more in love with her 70s powerful performances in the south. I cant think of any actress in the history of Indian Cinema who had ever such a changing avtar other than Sridevi. Sridevi you truely ROCK!!!

Guys , the latest news says that there will be soon a remake of the classic Nagina and it will be done by Mallika Sherawat!!! what a choice!!! lets wait and see how it will be done.

I receive daily requests to post videos and songs for Sridevi. Although I dont want this site to be only for videos but I always like to offer you what you want and ask for. Today I have added in the video clips a rare video that you will not find anywhere else in the net. YESSS..... Its a song "Itni Kisi Ki Majaal Kahan" from the movie Majaal 1987 with Sridevi, Jeeterndra & Jaya Prada. Very lovely song and both the ladies are shining in it, hope you will like it too.

Hi guys, today I have added an article by Stardust magazine in December 1992 under the title "Can Sridevi Survive The Downfall?" This article was written after a string of flops Sridevi had in the early 90s, However yet the article confirms that despite these flops She was still supreme and the No.1 and that she did not lose her crown yet. This article and many others that I have as well in the beginning of the 90s confirm her solid position at that time. All the media has been calling her the No.1 until 1994 then from that year and onwards and because Sridevi has reduced her assignments the number one position has not been solid and changed continuously between Madhuri Dixit, Juhi Chawla, Kajol, Karisma Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai since the mid 90s until 2000. While Sridevi had maintained her position the whole 80s decade until the mid of 90s for at least a minimum of 10 years!!! Which means she was the last number one actress to have a long period of reigning supreme and yet we have to see another actress to break her record. Truly she is the Ultimate Queen of Bollywood. I have many many interviews of her in the 80s and 90s that I will post in future dates, but for now check this article. You will find the article in the interview section.

Sridevi appeared at the Lakme Fashion show 2008. Looking alluringly beautiful in a single-shoulder long dress. Sridevi wowed the audience as she walked the ramp at the Lakme Fashion Week in the city."It was a good experience and I was comfortable. The collection is very beautiful," Sridevi said after the show, that was also attended by her husband Boney Kapoor and daughters. walked the ramp for designer duo Prriya and Chintan in a golden hued dress with a corset bodice that was attached to a flared skirt. The audience reaction showed that the reigning queen of the '80s and early '90s had not lost her magic. Known as the female Amitabh Bachchan, Sridevi has given super hits like 'Chandni', 'Chaalbaaz', 'Lamhe' and 'Mr India'. "Sridevi-ji has been in the industry for so many years and has so much of confidence. She did a brilliant job on the ramp," said Priya. She was a real showstopper!!!!

Yash Chopra revealed the same while Sridevi was being felicitated as the living legend of Bollywood.  Fans of the superstar will be awaiting her comeback onto the silver screen and what better than doing a movie under the Yashraj banner.

Yash Chopra said that they were working on two scripts and praised Sridevi as he said "she is a wonderful artiste. I'm a fan of Sridevi. She is the one artiste who can go beyond the script.  Bollywood veteran actor Rishi Kapoor too only sung praises for his Chandini. He said, "Dekhiye Srideviji to ek iconic figure hai  unke baad itni ladkiyon ne Sridevi pe apne aap ko model kiya hai, unhe itna inspire kiya hai aanewali generations ko (she is  an iconic figure and people have tried to model on her.).

Let us wait and see if Sridevi will say yes to Yash Chopra. I know that he has been chasing her since 1999 to accept his film opposite Amitabh Bachchan which he kept it on hold because according to him that he cant think of anyobody else doing that role except Sridevi.
